In his music, José Luis Encinas (JLE) always eloquently combines the diverse elements and styles of flamenco, classical, pop, world, folk, and even some blues, soul, and rock and roll influences. He takes the listener on a journey to new and wondrous lands through a sonic spectrum of settings and moods. The result is truly always enchanting as his music 'weaves its magic'! It has the unique ability to transcend and communicate with the listener - THAT is the Encinas mystique!

JOSÉ LUIS ENCINAS' MUSICAL APPROACH

His versatility speaks for itself. "I love all guitar styles, I like music that supports the melody, with a phrase or hook that stays in your mind, and I like a song with a strong structure. Songs should tell a story." Still, his music does much more than just tell a story: it communicates emotions so perfectly!

The Spanish guitar-style of classically-trained Encinas is impeccable and distinctive, with a very clean, clear sound. His music has an endearing quality and quite a global appeal. It captures the heart and the imagination from the very first time it's heard. With three CDs, combined, to his credit - released in Spain and two in the U.S. - José Luis Encinas hopes to reach out to many more hearts and minds by broadening his own, musical perspective. His compositions are all original, inspired by special people, special places; his own, personal feelings; reminiscences from his childhood; and certain real-life events - both joyful and melancholy. There is always a nostalgic quality to each song. José Luis Encinas has much to say, and he does so by way of his music.
